Often FEI customers make special requests to configure equipment for a project's specific needs. FEI's ability to be agile and flexible is the key reason many companies turn to FEI for help.

Through our Custom Applications Service, FEI's Wireless Perimeter Air Monitoring has become one of our most popular and technically sophisticated offerings.

Wireless Perimeter Air Monitoring

FEI's Wireless Perimeter Air Monitoring, ideal for remediation projects, is a customized system created mainly for monitoring dust, volatile organics, or specific gases.

Configure the system

These wireless systems accommodate up to 32 units within a two mile radius, and can be powered by solar array, battery, or fixed line. FEI technical staff can install and configure the systems, as well as provide operator training.

Save time

The centralized host system allows data management from one location eliminating the need to gather data from individual units. The use of ProRAE Remote Software allows for adjustable baseline and alarm settings, easy data viewing and management, and remote operator notification.

Get more accurate data

Data accuracy and reliability are improved greatly with the use of GPS equipment and a high-quality LCD panel.  Stations are weather, water, and chemical resistant to withstand harsh conditions in the field and to ensure continual data gathering.

In high moisture environments where rain, sleet, snow and humidity levels are great, you can adjust the pump duty cycle through the software. For high wind environments you can shorten the interval cycle to get more frequent readings.

Gain Expertise

Wireless Perimeter Air Monitoring systems have been deployed at projects sites from St. Louis, Missouri, to Newark, New Jersey, over the last three years.

Get the consultation and training you need from our in-house experts in sales, service and technical support. FEI staff can make recommendations on specific equipment including radio transmitters, photoionization detectors, toxic gas sensors, and dust monitors.

Use Equipment from Top Manufacturers

The system is only as reliable as the components FEI uses. And with a sophisticated system that must be accurate, FEI has chosen RAE Systems and TSI equipment.

Managed by a centralized host system, now in its second generation, RAE Systems VOC detectors along with TSI dust measuring units are connected using wireless technology so data gathered from all units can be monitored through one location. The data can be measured in concentrations as low as parts per billion. You can also adjust sampling intervals to get the data you require. Finally, the use of Omni directional inlets allows 360-degree data gathering for more accurate readings.
