No matter your application, the portable Defender 530+ is ready to go to work for you, because it’s a true volumetric standard based on the principle of positive displacement. The Defender 530+ provides immediate indication of the actual gas flow rate, accurately and independently of the gas type. It also includes integrated temperature sensors and pressure transducers in the flow stream, so you can compensate for standard conditions - allowing traceable verifications of mass flow devices.
A versatile, push-button flow meter, the Defender 530+ is also a primary flow standard, enabling you to accurately calibrate a variety of instrumentation.

- Proven – Instruments are manufactured and calibrated by a company accredited to the ISO 17025, ANSI Z540, and NIST Handbook 150 standards. Traceability to the International System of Units (SI) and NIST is verified by accreditation to the ISO/IEC 17025 by NVLAP under Code 200661-0.V
- Take individual readings, continuous hands-free readings, or set to read in time intervals, anywhere from one minute up to sixty minutes between readings.
- Integrated temperature sensors and pressure transducers – placed directly in the flow stream for optimum standardized results (Bios Defender 520 only).
- Standardizing readings (530 model only).
- Time intervals between measurements for checking personal sampling stability over a typical sampling period.
- Field-friendly, rugged and lightweight design with molding in rubber grips and a a large, illuminated liquid crystal display and intuitive menu navigation.
